Crisis on Infinite Earths #1: Pt. 3
Previously in Crisis on Infinite Earths...
Pariah is forced to watch Earth-3 while it's obliterated by a wall of antimatter.
Alexander Luthor and his wife, Lois, send their son to Earth-1 in a prototype rocket.
Lyla becomes Harbinger.
Monitor dispatches Harbinger replicants to retrieve: Solovar, Dawnstar, and Firebrand (see All-Star Comics #50.)
Now continuing Crisis on Infinite Earths #1...
A Harbinger replicant arrives on Earth-4 just as Blue Beetle rescues a hostage. He willingly agrees to go with her.
While searching for Arion across an icy desert 45,000 years ago (when the world was "young, but hardly innocent"), a Harbinger replicant has a strange encounter that disrupts her mission:
A compromised Harbinger later locates and confronts Arion, who believes she's a threat and prepares to go into battle with her. She blasts his ice bridge and sends him plummeting, the speeds after him and the two vanish before they are both crushed by falling ice.
On present day Earth-2, a Harbinger replicant contacts Roger Hayden because his alter-ego's (Psycho-Pirate) powers are needed. He seems distraught, but when she shows him the Medusa mask, he's comforted.
In a series of 18 panels, Crisis on Infinite Earths #1 depicts the Harbinger replicant and Psycho-Piratre traveling to modern day Earth-1 to recruit Firestorm. The same panels are expanded and embellished in the pages of Firestorm #41, which is where this particular retelling of the tale continues...
