In a “second story” called, The Monitor Tapes, which runs along the bottom panel of each page of Crisis on Infinite Earths #10, Lyla learns that, predicting his own death, Monitor transferred all his files to Earth. She reflects upon everything that has happened thus far that has been unfair:

• Pariah, Lady Quark, Alexander Luthor, and “the boy from Earth-Prime all lived when so many millions died…"

• The most peaceful planet in any universe, Mibrannu, died while murderous Kallidrane armies survived to destroy again…

• In the 30th century, the Anti-Monitor destroyed the prison planet of Takron-Galtos, releasing the most evil of evils into the universe…

• Starman wished to help, but now he’s dead…

• Six different versions of the planet Kuraq were compressed into one, leaving the Omega Man, Nimbus, trapped between them…

• Three gods perished on Olympus…

• While helping to save his world Immortal Man was eliminated from all existence…

• Hawkman of Earth-2 is now dying…

However, not all heroes died…

• Tommy Tomorrow of the Planeteers saved the populations of 16 worlds…

• The Forever People protected their adopted world from destruction…

• Amethyst of Gemworld led her people to triumph…

• Alec Holland’s body was recreated. Swamp Thing’s body died, but his essence lives, merged with the green…
