Meanwhile, Katma Tui uses her ring on the European continent to melt rock back together, cap a volcano, and re-route lava. When her ring loses its power (like John’s did in the Old West), she fears that the main power battery on Oa has ceased transmission.

Meanwhile, Hal wakes up where he was previously deposited by the Guardians and uses green residue from the sand to travel to Oa.
