Crisis on Infinite Earths #8: Pt. 74
Previously in Crisis on Infinite Earths #8…
The Anti-Monitor appears to Psycho-Pirate and the Flash in new armor and says, “We will alnd on Qward. From there we shall destroy the remaining Earths!”
On page 14 of Crisis on Infinite Earths #8, we that “at the galactic center of the Anti-Matter universe is the world of Qward… a world born of darkness and evil.” The Anti-Matter watches as his warriors work to complete an anti-matter cannon, which he will use “to obliterate the five remaining positive matter universes.”

As Psycho-Pirates powers return, he taunts the Flash, who’s being held in “constraining gel.” Flash tells his to “eat Jell-O” as he escapes. He’s been slowly increasing his inner vibrations until he could slip through the “gelatin jail.” Psycho-Pirate persists in trying to influence the Flash’s emotions…

It turns out that Psycho-Pirate is a coward at heart and the Flash orders him to help him execute a plan against the Anti-Monitor. He influences the Anti-Monitor’s warriors, the Thunderers, to feel hate for their master.

Their attacks, amid chants of “Death to the Monitor,” provide a distraction for the Flash to examine the anti-matter cannon.
Good gosh! The Monitor was bragging about his weapon – now I know why! He’s drawn together concentrated anti-matter as the cannon’s power source. I can feel it weakening me… draining my energy… I – I haven’t got long before I’m too powerless to stop it.
Trouble is, I know what’s going to happen to me if I’m successful. But I have no choice. More then my life is at stake.
That’s what heroes do; they make sacrifices…

Once again, the Anti-Monitor seems defeated, yet swears vengeance upon the humans who have thwarted his plans. He absorbs the “anti-matter of one million worlds” as it escapes from the weapon the Flash destroyed.

Meanwhile, at Challenger Mountain, the Challengers of the Unknown hear an “agonizing scream permeating the entire universe:
