Please accept my apologies. It seems that these issues of Green Lantern don’t so much feature Eclipso as they do his alter ego, Dr. Bruce Gordon. (And using the word “feature” might even be exaggerating.) They’re still worth covering, but if this trend continues, I promise in the future to reduce the number of posts for issues with only Bruce and fast forward to issues in which Eclipso actually appears.

For now, let’s be glad that Bruce has become a recurring character in Green Lantern. Even if it doesn’t happen immediately, you know his mere presence means Eclipso can’t be far behind. (I’ve also taken a sneak peek ahead, and future covers do tout the villain appearing within their pages.)

At least Bruce plays a compelling role. He has an investment in the work being done at Ferris Aircraft and will probably be out of work if the plug is pulled. And what intrigue is he involved with at the end of #146? If Green Lantern's association with Ferris Aircraft is investigated too heavily, the implications probably mean more for Hal Jordan than they do for Bruce Gordon. We'll see what happens...
