Man-Bat Pt. 17: Batman Family #16
On his way home, Man-Bat spots Jason Bard on the roof of his apartment building and mistakes his cane for a rifle, causing him to believe he's the shotgun sniper. While they head toward a face-off, the real sniper has them both in his/her sights…

Man-Bat is hit:

Man-Bat then trails Bard to a diner when the sniper fires again. Bard realizes Man-Bat is not the criminal and they team-up to take him down.

Then, when Kirk returns home, he learns why Francine paged him:

Again, I love the art by Michael Golden and the way he draws Man-Bat:


It’s a nice conclusion to a nice two-part story, easy-breezy and action-packed. However, the mystery is explained after the fact in a single panel, making it all a little pat:

But... I'm not complaining!
