In Tales of the Legion #320, Monitor made a contract with Magpie, the self-proclaimed best thief in the United Planets, but he wonders who's really backing her operation.

On his way out from a heist, Magpie runs into Star Boy and Dream Girl. They fight, but Magpie disappears. Monitor must report to Universo that Magpie failed.

In true Monitor fashion, he could care less about losing money on a deal.
