Pre-Crisis: Pt. 5

In Green Lantern #176, Congressman Bloch thinks it’s time to strike against Ferris Aircraft because Hal Jordan lies in a coma following a fight with Shark. Anticipating his call, Monitor urges Bloch to reconsider. Driven by vengeance, Bloch refuses.

Monitor starts making connections once again, first calling Rosie, who agrees to take the job if he rounds up “the others:” Scoopshovel, Steam Roller, Jackhammer, and Hardhat. Collectively, they’re known as The Demolition Team and the issue ends with Bloch wondering what he has gotten himself into.
